The Latest Batch...

A little Kali humor for you

Self explanatory

My inner male?

I've really been noticing all the moss lately

Note to self: be a little less linear about the idea of progress

Onward

Me meming.

Words Fail Me. Well, sort of.
Long story short, I'm having more fun creating images lately rather than writing. Note the serious lack of recent blog posts. My 13 year old  (who basically commandeered The Delightist' Instagram a couple of years ago) talked me into creating my very own Instagram account a few weeks ago(my account: zendances). And I find I'm really liking it.  Enough, in fact, to create a "make and post an image a day for a month" challenge for myself. So I think I'll start posting my "memes" here as well.

Late Summer Road Trip: California Redwoods, Empty Beaches, Paul Bunyan, and Deluxe Treehouses.

So. Many. Huge. Majestic. Trees.

Arcata, CA and nearby towns are a wonderland of victorian houses.

Northern California beaches are relatively quiet and pristine.
Okay, I loved this tourist trap on Highway 101 more than I'm willing to admit to myself. Paul Bunyan speaks! And don't forget the fudge.

Lots of swings here.

Our home away from home complete with queen size bed, bunk bed, toilet, sink, and mini-fridge.  Total glamping.

The walkway to our abode.

The Treesort has a beautiful little river fed pool.

Yet another swing at the Treesort.
Note the eerie golden light. It was
mid-day yet we were surrounded by forest
fires and it was quite smokey.

Up-cycled Art Show by Jenny Rideout

Phew, almost there...

I'm having an art opening!  Thursday, October 29, 2015, 6:00-9:00 pm at Living Room Realty, 1401 N.E, Alberta, Portland, Oregon.  It's a beautiful space and I can hardly wait to see what my work says to me in this large, airy, bright space (as opposed to stacked up and otherwise crammed in my little studio).  Should be interesting.  More pictures and insightful ramblings to come once the show is in place.
